How old are you and where are you from?
I am 35 years and I was born in Bloomington, IL. However, for the last 20 years, I have lived in Cape Girardeau, MO. I just recently moved to St. Louis last year.
Tell us more about your book!
Different like me is about three children with disabilities on a quest to find a magical mirror. Legend says the mirror can tell you your purpose. While on their journey, they discover that the mirror only reflects the beauty of who they already are. It has a great message of diversity and inclusion that will resonate with children and adults.

If your book was turned into a movie, who would play your main characters?
It would more than likely be an animated film. I would have Keke Palmer do the voice for Kylie, Zac Efron for Tommy, and China McClain for Maggie. I would want someone like Traci Ellis Ross to be the voice for the magical mirror.
You’re stranded on an island, and only one character from any book can save you. Who are you picking?
Honestly, I would choose Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia. He is strong, wise, and could easily guide me off of the island. Also, he is a lion LOL.
Besides being a writer, what else do you enjoy?
I love to spend time with my husband and family. I love singing, cooking, traveling, and watching Marvel movies. It doesn’t matter how many times I have seen them. I can watch them over and over again.
Do you have any upcoming book promotions?
I will have a promotion coming up in December. I’m still working on all of the details but you definitely want to look out for it.
