Tell me about yourself! How old are you, and where are you from?
Thirty-eight years old, Mother of 5, born and raised in Orlando, FL. 6 years ago, I settled into a small city called Ocoee, which is only 15 minutes from the town I was raised.
In my professional career, I invested 20 years in Recruiting in HR. My life is dedicated to helping others succeed and assisting them in reaching their goals.
Give us a summary of your book!
This journal isn’t for everyone. The reader will have to be ready to change their lives and be prepared to an honest look at themselves and their surroundings. There are various exercises in the journal that will allow you to identify what is working in your life and what isn’t. The journal will focus on self-care, daily affirmations, and daily journal writing, along with making change.
What inspired you to write this book?
As cliché as this may sound, but this is precisely where the inspiration came from. GOD. My original idea was to get some blank journals and put my business tag line on it, “Making Success A Reality” GOD has an entirely different concept. Out of nowhere, he gave me exactly what I should put in the journal. He spoke to me so fast that I had to grab my phone, go into my notes, and document everything He was giving me. Thus the Success Journal was born.
If you could pick one song to describe this book, what would it be?
A self-help book, but instead of telling you what to do, the exercises will create a “wake up call” or “Aha” moment. The things that we have ignored for far too long will become the reality that change must be made.
Have you written any fiction novels as well? If not, would you and what genre?
In high school and my early 20’s, I wrote poems, Fiction, drama, and explicit writings. Unfortunately, they were never published.
What are two of your favorite books? Least favorite?
I can’t say I have a favorite book. Most of the books I purchased are spiritual books and business-related self-help books.
Do you have any other hobbies or businesses that you would like to share?
I am the owner of a staffing firm called “Just Write Inc” I gain various contracts with private and government organizations. My non-profit “Just Write Consulting” empowers the community by providing instruction on resume writing, interview preparation, career consulting, and career training.
