In The Spotlight Today: Tearra Rhodes!

How old are you and where are you from?

I’m 31 years old, and I’ll be 32 next month (yay!). I was born, raised, and still reside in

Buffalo, NY. Go Bills!

Tell us more about your book!

It’s a Christian fiction suspense story about a good deed that leads to danger. Ava, the

main character, meets a stranger, Micah, and offers him work. This act of kindness sets off

a dangerous and eye-opening chain of events for both parties involved. It’s faith-based

fiction that’s “not preachy” as some reviews have noted.

You’re sharing an elevator with a big name publisher. Pitch your book using 20 words or less!

Christian fiction suspense. A good deed leads to danger. Ava’s employment of Micah

challenges her faith and threatens her life.

What does your ideal writing space look like?

Ideally, it’s uncluttered—just a desk, my laptop, a notebook, and a pen. Quiet.

If your book was turned into a movie, who would play your main characters?

Zendaya would play Ava, and Chris Pine would play Micah (or Jake Gyllenhaal, his

Southern accent is pretty good).

You’re stranded on an island, and only one character from any book can save you. Who are you

picking?

Let’s do Sherlock Holmes. He’d make getting home Elementary!

Besides being a writer, what else do you enjoy?

I love shopping. I used to work in retail. I would love to be a personal shopper. I may add

that job to one of my future books.

Do you have any upcoming book promotions?

Currently, I am participating in a Christmas novella box set with five other lovely ladies,

Season of Suspense: A Chandler County Christmas Box set.

“Deception, lies, and betrayal. Will Chandler County ever be the same?”

The box set is now available for pre-order on Amazon, Apple, Nook, and Kobo for only $.99.
