How old are you, and where are you from?
Frank: Hello, I am 58 years old and I hale from Baltimore Maryland. That was my hometown. I served in the Army for four years and graduated from Washington State University.
In 100 words or less, Tell us about your book!
Frank: KLEPTOMANIAC, Who's Really Robbing God Anyway is a trek through the pages of the Bible to find the untwisted truth about the centuries-old teachings on tithes and offerings. This book has information that will make you become an analyst in getting to the bottom line of what tithing is in the Old and New Testament. It takes you on a journey to first define the word tithe and then breaks down the differences between giving and tithing as the Bible instructs. The author attempts to expose what most people believe as fact to bring them to what the Bible actually teaches about true giving.
When did you publish this book, and what was your biggest challenge while writing/publishing?
Frank: Kleptomaniac: Who’s Really Robbing God Anyway was published in 2016. I think the most challenging thing about writing it was how would readers receive the book. Because the book deals with the controversial topic of tithing, I felt apprehensive about publishing it. As far as publishing it, I knew it would be a self-published non-fiction book. I knew that traditional Christian publishing houses would never tackle a subject of this nature and so it became easier to self-publish from the start. My biggest challenge in publishing centered around finding a good editor. That was a tall task.
What inspired you to write this book?
Frank: It was simple questions that lead to me to write my book about tithing. One of them was; did God really ask for ten percent of a person’s income for life? Another question was; is the Church the storehouse? The inspiration came from questions and a prayer to God that truth be revealed to me. In my search for truth about a subject the institutional church holds dear, I found the inspiration to uncover and share the hidden facts about tithing and it relationship to the church. It was research that drove this book into a published reality.
What do you enjoy the most about writing non-fiction?
Frank: Writing non-fiction often requires research and that thrilled me. I enjoy doing research on subjects the general public does not really know about because it feels like you are an archeologist digging up secrets the world has lost. Digging up historical information is like going on a trek to the stars, and the reward is awesome discoveries the world can appreciate.
Do you write fiction as well? If not, would you and what genre?
Frank: No I don’t write fiction. But if I had to, I would write about historical issues in the genre of slavery and race issues. In the times we live in now, it would be quite interesting to write a book that deals with what would happen if every person of color leave America in an major exodus to their respective homeland to rebuild their world because America because too hostile.
What are two of your favorite books? Least favorite?
Frank: My two favorite books are The Destruction of Black Civilization by Chancellor William and Fight Like a Man by Gordon Dalbey. The least favorite book in my library is Soul Physicians by Robert W. Kellemen, Ph.D.
Do you have any other hobbies, businesses that you would like to share?
Frank: My other hobby is that I write blogs about tithing and give insight into what tithing really is in the Bible. My blog is http://tithenomore.com. I also like read, play racquetball and I love good stimulating conversations.

Book Excerpt from Kleptomaniac: Who’s Really Robbing God Anyway?
There are varying beliefs and theological arguments on whether there were one, two or three tithes in Israel. This chapter examines different tithing practices and will not focus on the number of tithes. Individual study of the doctrine of one tithe in Israel is a must for understanding the tithe practices of the Hebrew people. No matter what position you take on how many tithes, it is important to understand the tithe in Hebrew is always food and never money. This chapter examines a tithe from agricultural production and another from an increase in animals (livestock), which came from farmers and herders who tithed based on Leviticus 27:30-33.
