Tell me a little about yourself! How old are you, and where are you from?
I am 32 years old and am from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am a father of one, an ordained minister, mentor, author, and educator. I know my divine purpose is to inspire the world through my God-given gifts of writing and speaking.
Can you give us a summary of your book?
My book is about an African American son & dad who travels from place to place together meeting historical figures from the past and present. Each person they meet encourages the young man and gives him different jewels of wisdom to be great.
What inspired you to write this book?
The greatest factor that contributed to me writing this book is to promote and educate the world about great African American historical men from the past and present.
I honestly think that it is so important to show our black boys and men successful men.
If you could pick one song to describe this book, what would it be?
I honestly think the song I would pick is the song "I know I Can" by the rapper Nas. In this song, Nas emphasizes to the youth that they can achieve anything through hard work and intelligence. He also dives into some world history in the song which flows in suit with the foundational message in the book.
Have you written any fiction novels as well? If not, would you and what genre?
Yes, my first book was a fiction novel titled "Forever My Brother". It is suited for a more mature audience but is still a good read to gain insight from.
What are two of your favorite books? Least favorite?
My two favorite books are "Invincible “ by Styles P and "E squared" by Pam Grout.
Do you have any other hobbies or businesses that you would like to share?
My hobbies are basketball, playing pool and practicing martial arts.
Do you have any upcoming book specials/giveaways or events?
Yes, I will have a book signing event in the fall of 2020.

There will be a follow-up book to the King In Me. The title of the book will be called "The Queen In Me". This book follows the same theme as the book King In Me. However, in this book a young girl and her mother travel around the world meeting great female historical figures.
